MEET BREEZY JOHNSON
OLYMPIC DOWNHILL SKI RACER
Born in Jackson Hole, WY, Breezy learned to ski in her parent’s driveway. She competed in her first ski race at age 5, with her stuffed fox shoved into her purple bib snow pants. Watching ski racing from a young age meant that she never imagined doing anything with her life beyond ripping down mountains and sought to win even her youth races with a vigor that shocked many.
Breezy fought hard for her goals. She qualified for the U.S. Ski Team in 2014 and worked her way up.
Along the way she fought for better and more equal treatment of her teammates, a role that was formalized when her teammates voted her to be their Athlete Liaison. She qualified for her first Olympics in 2018 and has fought back from two severe knee injuries since then to become a medal favorite for the 2022 Games.

Leader
Breezy learned from a young age to speak up about changes that she felt could better others. Along her journey to the top of her own sport she has sought to better the sport itself through leadership roles. She serves as one of the U.S. Ski Team’s Athlete Liasons, to change the ski team for the better. She also serves on the Alpine Sport Committee to promote change within ski racing in the U.S. below the national team level.
Adventurer
Growing up in Jackson you can’t help but want to explore. Both on and off the slopes Breezy looks for fun adventures in the outdoors, like diving into high alpine lakes, running to hotsprings, or paddling around on icebergs.
Philanthropist
Breezy is always looking for great causes to partner with. She works deeply with Coombs Outdoors to help get underprivileged kids into skiing and sports, hoping to one day help diversify the sport of ski racing. She also supports Protect Our Winters in helping try to keep the climate of ski racing around for generations to come.
